A typical Ghanaian culture forbids a female to leave her body uncovered for any reason. But these days, things have changed completely. It’s rather the women who are going nekkid while the men are covering themselves.
When you watch most of our current music videos, there is nothing you will see in them apart from women exposing their rashes infested bortos and other private parts all in the name of singing. The worst of it all is when these female artistes mount on stage.
An example was what we saw a few weeks ago after Wendy Shay exposed her hairy and puffed up torto free of charge on stage to the happiness of her fans at Legon campus.

However, one of these female artistes, Eazzy has reacted to this. According to her, it’s better for them to copy their colleague female singers in the Western world, such as Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and their kinds.
“Mzbel was also very enlightened and ahead of our time. I watched her outfits when I was growing up and it was nice because I watched Beyonce and the likes of Jennifer Lopez do it, but people penalise us so much,” Eazzy said.
