One of the most image-conscious artists in Ghana, Sarkodie, says he’s now at a point in his career where what blogs write about him does not concern him anymore.
Sark claims he is not interested in what people say about him so long as he knows the truth is out there.
If you’re surprised to hear those words come out of Sarkodie’s mouth, you’re not alone. No artist in Ghana cares more about their image than Sarkodie and it wasn’t that long ago that he threatened to sue blogs he believes have written falsehoods about him.
But in a recent chat with NYDJ on YFm in Kumasi, Sarkodie seems to have changed his tune in regards to that issue. According to him, he has now decided to ignore headlines talking bad about him because he has been in the game long enough and is used to it.
“At this point in my career, captions is not gonna move me cos you know how many times I’ve seen headlines about my life?..How many years in the game? I don’t really have to respond to that,” Sarkodie claimed.
“What is most important to me is, what is the truth? If there is the truth in what they are saying then I will have to worry about it and come explain but that is not the truth and I know if it’s not the truth, the lie will come out…” Sarkodie said.
