Unlike Okyeame, Kuami Eugene Fuse ODG and other Ghanaian artistes who are patronising and making Ghana proud, Shatta Wale is promoting foreign countries every time he mounts on stage to perform at an event.
A few months ago, he mounted the stage of O2 Arena in London in the United Kingdom and spat garbage on his motherland, Ghana.
Just 4 days ago, he repeated this when he was performing on stage at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Experience Concert. Shatta Wale was seen in American Colours instead of our Red, Yellow and Green.
However, popular music producer and Head of Hitz FM, Mark Okraku Mantey has reacted angrily about what the Shatta movement boss, Shatta Wale did.
According to Mark Okraku Mantey, he was very angry to see Shatta Wale in an American coloured dress which he, Wale shouldn’t have done that because as an A-listed artiste, you should be proud of your motherland, something which cannot be seen in anywhere in the world.
“How can a big act like Shatta Wale wear a shirt filled with the US flag on a big stage like the VGMAS? I was so angry when he took off his yellow jacket and what was left on him was that shirt filled with US colours and the US Flag”
He added that “Instead of selling Ghana wearing something more Ghanaian, he rather wore a shirt containing the US Flag. In Jamaica, almost all their top acts make sure they wore something in their Jamaican colours. Especially, this year, we have the year of Return, and a big act like him rather decided to wear something US, how?
