The 2019 VGMA is fast approaching, the contest is getting tougher and tougher. One category that has sparked controversy so far is the ‘Artiste Of The Decade Award’.
Fans of the nominees are firing back to back on who deserves it or not.
The thread is between mostly fans of Sarkodie and Samini. The two camps are fighting over the award yet to be given.
However, according to rapper EL, it is better to award two people out of the 10 nominees for that category.

“Everyone deserves it in their own right. I don’t think it’s appropriate or even fair to give one artiste an artiste of the decade because we’ve had different artistes mold the whole music industry for the past 10 years”
“They should just give it to 2 Artistes in that category,” he said.
Nominees for the ‘Artiste Of The Decade Award’ include: Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini, Shatta Wale, Joe Mettle, R2BEES, Okyeame Kwame, No tribe & Nacee, Becca and Efya.
The award comes off this Saturday 19th May, 2019.
