Former British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has spoken out about the incident that happened over the weekend at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards involving Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
Benjamin, an avowed SM fan and BHIM Nation ‘hater’, was asked by a Twitter user to give his thoughts on the incident during which Shatta Wale attempted to storm the VGMA stage and Stonebwoy reportedly drew a gun.
Benjamin in his comments condemned both stars for their actions. He said whilst Wale was wrong to have caused a ‘fracas’, Stonebwoy was even more wrong for pulling out a gun.
He wrote; “I’m not in favour of causing a fracas. I’m very much more not in favour of pulling a gun.”
The actions of the two stars reportedly led Benjamin’s successor in the job, Iain Walker, to flee the awards premises in fear for his life.
Social media has been rife with criticism for the two huge dancehall stars for their childish behaviour. Read Benjamin’s critique below…
