VIDEO: Musicians Carry Guns To Shows Due To Beefs – Edem Indirectly Predicted Stonebwoy-Shatta Wale Gun Brouhaha In 2018

Ghanaians never paid attention to rapper Edem when he revealed in November 2018 that some Ghanaian musicians carry guns to events because of ‘beefs’.

Edem in an interview on Hitz FM in November 2018 indirectly predicted Stonebwoy’s gun pulling during the 20th edition of the Ghana Music Awards which was held on Saturday, May 18, 2019.

FLASHBACK: Edem during the interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM disclosed;

“Now when we go to shows, musicians are strapped with guns. At least a team member has a licensed gun. We shouldn’t wait for something bad to happen before we discourage it. I don’t encourage that because I want to be brothers with everyone”.

As usual, no attempts were made to look into what rapper Edem revealed and propose a possible solution to the situation of musicians carrying guns to events.

Fast-forward in May 2019, Stonebwoy pulls a gun on stage when Shatta Wale and his SM gang tried to climb the stage for whatever reason after he [Stonebwoy] was announced for the 5th time, ‘Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

It’s time all stakeholders of the Ghanaian entertainment industry come together to find a solution to the menace of musicians carrying weapons to events before something terrible happens.
