Sarkodie’s Performance at the VGMA Was Lazy — Blakk Rasta

Saturday night’s VGMA show will go down in history as one of the most memorable ones, but it wasn’t for the organization, the awards won or even for the performances on the night.

Instead, the 2019 VGMAs, the 20th-anniversary edition of the show, would always be remembered for being the show where Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale nearly went to war after years of verbal sparring.

All the conversation coming out of the show has been about that confrontation so even the usual critique of artist performances on the night has been relegated to the background.

However, Blakk Rasta has decided to rate those who performed and according to him, they all sucked.

He aimed at Sarkodie who he says showed no energy in his performance. According to him, watching Obidi perform was like watching a lazy high school student perform during a fun fair.

“Ghanaians will probably insult me for saying this, but I’m not scared of speaking my mind….but Somebody like Sarkodie, people have paid to come and watch you and you’re performing like a lazy secondary school artiste. Is this the performance you want to take to the Grammy?..The performances were just below standard”. Blakk Rasta fired.

He also slammed Kidi, King Promise and others for performing abysmally on the night of the award show.
