OFFICIAL — Dede Ayew Finally ‘Takes Over’ As Black Stars Captain, Replacing ‘Drama’ Queen Asamoah Gyan

Abedi Pele’s son has finally climbed into his father’s footsteps and become the new captain of the senior national team, the Back Stars.

Andre ‘Dede’ Ayew has been named the new captain of the team, taking over from Asamoah ‘Baby Jet’ Gyan, the drama queen.

Kwesi Appiah announced the new appointment today after a meeting with the normalization committee of Ghana football.

Gyan, who was stripped of his captaincy which prompted his retirement, has become general captain of the team. Kwadwo Asamoah has also been named as the deputy captain.

The Black Stars commences camping on June 1st, ahead of the 2019 Afcon which kicks off on 21st June.
