The very moment our highlife living legend Abrantie Amakye Dede crowned the Lynx Entertainment highlife artiste, Kuami Eugene as the King of Highlife music at the just ended VGMA, I knew Ghanaians will be talking about it for weeks.
Just as I thought, this has become a headline for social media users as they keep lamenting on this for weeks. They kept wondering why Amakye could even crown a budding singer like Kuami Eugene as a King over those he came to meet in the industry.
However, discussing the topic “Who made Amakye Dede kingmaker to crown Kuami Eugene?” on Tuesday 28th 2019’s segment of Hitz FM’s Daybreak Entertainment Hitz Show with the host, Andy Dosty, David Bolton, one of the pundits at Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz said, “I found Kuami Eugene being made “king of highlife” a bit odd”
“It appeared like an award scheme within an award scheme. Who procured the crown?” he said.
