Defence Ministry, Military High Command among other security agencies have unveiled a 20 ft monument to honour the late army soldier, Major Maxwell Mahama at the Airport Hills roundabout.
The ceremony also commemorates the two year anniversary of his unfortunate passing.
The event saw mammoth crowed, mostly from the military to pay homage to the late soldier.
Addressing the gathering Defence Minister said; “The unveiling of this monument is a signal and reminder to the end of instant justice in Ghana,”

Also in attendance were the widow, Barbara Mahama, the sons of late Maxwell Mahama, his parents and other family members.
Background
Major Maxwell Adams Mahama was killed in 2017 by the residents of Denkyira Obuasi in the Upper Denkyira District.
According to the people in the community, they mistook the army officer as an armed robber after spotting a gun on him during his morning jogging.
The residents mobbed around the soldier and lynched him.
Suspects are still standing trials.
