Don’t we all miss this woman on our big screen with her incessant mischief and her laughable tone when it comes to speaking the Ashanti dialect that is Twi?— I bet you are bathed with nostalgia as you end this very line.
One of the good yet few ones that kept us glued to our seats with their theatrics is none other than actress Grace Nortey. As age catches up with her, she says she can still act if and only if her role is not at all demanding and she would not be tasked to memorize long lines.
“When the role is not too demanding and I don’t have to read long scripts, I can manage to do it without too much of a problem,” she told this reporter recently.
“The few productions I have done in recent times were in Ga so I didn’t have to bother about scripts. My problem is with my eyes so I am unable to read scripts especially if I have so many lines. I would rather settle for something where I will be given the scenario so I can paraphrase,” she said
Grace says she loves to act because it is fun and it takes her mind off boredom.
“When I am at home, I usually would eat and the next thing is let me lie down for a while.
“I lie down for a while, wake up and in the next hour or two, the urge to lie down comes back so it’s different when I am out there working,” she said.
