Joselyn Dumas Garners Plaudits for Ethereal Performance In Latest Movie ‘Cold Feet’

Over the years, Joselyn Dumas has proven what she can do already, either as a screen goddess or a broadcast journalist. However, there’s no question where her strengths lie most; as an actress with unlimited range and undoubted talent.

She has played all sorts of roles spanning the entire spectrum of the human experience – in fact, she’s so good she’s able to play two characters with starkly opposite personalities in the same drama series without missing a beat.

So there’s nothing surprising about Joselyn Dumas once more knocking it out of the park in her latest performance in the Nollywood drama movie ‘Cold Feet’. In ‘Cold Feet’, Dumas stars as Omoye, a lady married to a retired army officer (Jim Iyke) who falls into temptation when she comes across an old flame.

There’s an old Ga saying, which translates to wit, that ‘an old flame burns brightest’.

Dumas’ character, Omoye, discovered this to her dismay when she and her husband Mayowa (Jim Iyke) went on a special anniversary trip, only to run into her ‘laimomo’ (old flame) Tare, (played by Enyinna Nwigwe), who is at the resort to propose to his current girlfriend Teni (played by Beverly Naya).

Despite her best efforts, her chance encounter with this old flame reignited powerful feelings in her which ended up jeopardizing not only her marriage but her ex-boyfriend’s current relationship.

‘Cold Feet’ is the story of how these characters navigate this murky circumstance caused by two exes running into each other unexpectedly.

Numerous reviews of Dumas’ performance have only confirmed her masterful skill and range as an actress. Tharavue said her performance “showed us that she isn’t just a beauty to behold but a very good actress and reminding us why she is a veteran in the Ghanaian film industry.” Yemmy Baba said Dumas’ portrayal of her character was so vivid it “kept us thinking about the characters even after the movie was over.”
