Two Canadian Ladies Kidnapped in Kumasi in Latest Case of ‘Girls Gone Missing’ Epidemic

In recent times, kidnapping has become an unfortunate epidemic sweeping through Ghana like a tropical rainstorm.

The kidnapping atrocities have also been mostly limited to females, mostly students.

The incompetent Ghana Police service has done little to find the perpetrators of these crimes, and even in some cases have outright deceived Ghanaians to hide their incompetence.

Unfortunately, another kidnapping has struck and this time it involves foreign nationals.

Two Canadian citizens have reportedly been kidnapped in the ‘Garden City’, Kumasi, Cbc.ca reports.

Global Affairs Canada have confirmed the reports of the kidnapping, which first emerged in local Ghanaian media.

3news.com reports that the two ladies were kidnapped when they stepped out of their apartments at Silver Spring Avenue around 8pm Monday night.

The victims are said to be on an exchange program with the Entrepreneurship Department of the Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) whilst also working as part of a volunteer group in Ghana.

Canadian authorities are working with the police to conduct an investigation into the abduction.

The families of the two have also been notified of the unfortunate development.
