‘7 Nominations, Zero Award’ Medikal Laughably Claims He’s The Lord and Saviour of Rap Music in Ghana

It was at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards that Medikal memorably received an impressive 7 nominations but somehow managed to go home with zero awards.

At the time, he was dating Sister Derby and their romance looked destined to last forever until Fella swooped in with her ‘tundra’.

Anyway, Medikal has incredibly improved since then and even managed to grab a couple of awards at this year’s VGMAs, showing how much more progress his career has made.

However, calling himself any sort of saviour for the rap game in Ghana is simply ridiculous.

Yet that’s the tag he’s given himself in a new post on Instagram, in which he claims he saved rap music in Ghana four years ago.

“4 years ago I saved Ghanaian Rap music from dying and I promise to keep it alive,” he wrote in his post.

Bragging is the norm in rap but Medikal cannot even lay claim to be the Matthew of rap not to even talk of the saviour (Jesus).
