Over the years, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has been involved in so many escapades and shenanigans that there’s no question Ghanaians have been questioning her mental state for a long time.
However, she has once and for all conclusively disclosed what affects her during a chat with GhanaCelebrities.Com.
Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has revealed she suffers from two mental disorders in a conversation with Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri.
Joyce, speaking with Chris on Facebook Live from her current place of treatment in Hamburg, Germany, revealed she suffers from both bipolar disorder and ‘love’ disorder.
Bipolar disorder, according to the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), is “a mental health condition that affects your moods, which can swing from one extreme to another. People with bipolar disorder have episodes of depression (feeling very low and lethargic) and mania (feeling very high and overactive).”

‘Love’ disorder on the other hand, which Dzidor mentioned several times during the chat, she claims makes her fall in love with people and makes her wish they love her back.
Research indicated obsessive love disorder is another mental condition which can affect people. According to Healthline, “you become obsessed with one person you think you may be in love with” due to this condition.
The former HIV/AIDS ambassador is currently receiving treatment in a German hospital for her disorders.
Dzidzor also took the opportunity of the chat to apologize to Chris-Vincent for splashing his photos all over her facebook timeline and publicly declaring her love for him.
She asked Ghanaians to show love to others and not judge them, especially without knowing what motivates their actions.
