In the past when arranged marriages where a big deal, they used to argue all the time that ‘love’ is not needed for a successful marriage, that it’s something two people don’t automatically feel for each other but which can be built over time.

These days, it’s not a point of view you hear so much because most people get to choose their own spouses now; and what’s the point of choosing to marry someone if you don’t love them? Slay queen please don’t answer that.

Anyway, the wife of Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has revealed that she wasn’t in love with him at the time they got married.

Elom, speaking with Joy News’ AM show, said she wasn’t in love with ‘Pusher’, as the actor is fondly known, back then, but decided to give things a try anyway by getting married to him.

“Things were not perfect from the beginning. I wasn’t in love but I just felt I had this guy I admire, I like and respect so let’s give it a shot,” she revealed.

“…Along the line, I felt like turning back. I really used to nag but now I can’t believe we are here,” she said, referring to the fact they’ve now been married for 12 years.
