RuffTown Records’ newest signing, Fantana, has come out to explain why news went viral recently that she had been arrested for stealing in the United States.

Fantana, in a chat with Founding Editor of GhanaCelebrities.Com, Chris-Vincent Agyapong Febiri, tried to explain to Ghanaians what exactly happened.

According to her, she took her roommate’s bracelet and threw it into the garbage during a fight, which pissed off her roommate who called the police on her.

Fantana, real name Francine Koffi, said due to the value of the bracelet she destroyed being $300, she had to be charged with Grand Theft under Florida law.

She added that the case was settled when she paid her roommate back for the destroyed bracelet and that she could have the mugshot taken down anytime but she’s decided to leave it.

Fantana said it was a lesson in her life which she’s learned from and moved on.
