Giving Over $6M To Black Stars Was Nonsensical Knowing The Eventual Winner Will Take Home $4.5M — Kwame Sefa Kayi Punches ‘Senseless’ Ghanaian Leaders

After the Ghanaian Minister of Sports, Hon. Isaac Asiamah announced how much the government gifted our useless Senior National team, (Black Stars) during the AFCON 2019, and how much they spent in Egypt, there has never been peace in Ghana.

Black Stars were given more than 6 million American dollars as a budget for the just-ended AFCON 20019. A tournament which gave the ultimate winner 4.5 million dollars.

Considering the amount given to the Stars and the prize that was to be given to the ultimate winner, one can clearly state that our leaders are senseless, they don’t think about the well-being of this country knowing very sure that even if Ghana brings the cup home, Ghana will still lose over 1.5 million dollars.

Well, popular Ghanaian journalist, Chairman General, Kwame Sefa Kayi has reacted to this senseless money spending by our government.

“…Black Stars is a cash cow for some people…Kwesi Nyantakyi has been vindicated….you are going into a tournament knowing fully well the eventual winner will take home $4.5m, yet you sit and prepare a budget over $6m; which is more than the prize money?…if it was your own money, would you spend it this way?”

“We were kicked out during the second round stage yet the country spent $4.5m, the amount of money we would have received had Ghana won the cup… it doesn’t make sense…Understandably, if we had won the cup, the euphoria, prestige, and glory would have been intangible.”

“But seriously, you don’t go and do this and think it is okay and I hear some people are justifying this by saying it was the same under Nyantakyi’s era…are you out of your minds?!… This is Ghana oo,” he said.
