Mzbel has been adept at stirring controversy all throughout her career, a fact which helped turn her into a big star, at least back in the day.
The ’16 Years’ singer was showing skin and shaking her assets back when social media was not even a thing.
In recent years, as her music career has mostly stagnated, Mzbel has made more news for other stuff than for music itself; such as when she declared Jesus Christ as fake a few years ago.
That comment, that Jesus is fake and his story had been stolen from other religions, got Ghanaians up in arms against her and she was on everyone’s lips for days on end as she was torn into pieces.
Mzbel has maintained that stance since, having clarified that she doesn’t believe in Jesus because she’s a Jew. Jews, by definition, do not believe in Jesus Christ, although he was ironically a Jew himself.
In a chat with Joy Fm today, Mzbel has given a new, interesting theological thought. According to her, if Rihanna was a god she would have loved to worship her.
“If Rihanna was a god I would have worshipped her,” Mzbel said on Joy Fm.
