Social media is a powerful tool, both in a positive and negative way. It can be used for a lot, including easily duping people.
Celebrities sometimes have to deal with people using their names to dupe others, and it seems Shatta Wale is dealing with something like that right now.
The dancehall king has warned his followers about a supposed upcoming tour involving him being organized by a guy on facebook.
Wale says he has no ties to that show and anyone who gives money to the guy does so at their own risk.
There’s an account on Facebook by the name Sesay Sillah engaging promoters and fans in Europe claiming he has a contract with Shatta Wale for an appearance on the 6th of September and a subsequent tour in the region.
I hereby state unequivocally that Shatta Wale and shatta movement has no prior arrangements or contract agreements with the aforementioned individual or any other group.
Please disregard any advertisement and advertising material in circulation.
Shatta Wale and Shatta Movement will announce our presence in Europe on our social media handles when we set for a tour in the territory.
The said account on Facebook is displaying a FAKE passport of Shatta Wale to coax other promoters in his scam.
It’s a hoax… to reiterate Shatta Wale HAS NO prior arrangement with any promoter in Europe and it’s enclave.
