Managing an artiste isn’t a joke as the majority perceive it ─ in fact, a lot goes into managing an artiste and if Kuami Eugene is running away from that trouble, then he’s made a good decision.
Kuami Eugene says he is too young to sign any artiste and we understand him because his boss, Richie isn’t finding it easy managing him, KiDi and other artistes on the Lynx Entertainment record label.
Kuami Eugene on why he cannot sign any artiste in a recent interview said;
“This guy is talented and I must say I was very surprised at the energy he displayed singing my song Ohemaa but I disagree with people when they say he sings like me. He sounds like himself and that is what I admire about him.
I had people contacting me, especially my fans asking me to sign the guy. I feel I am too young to sign or train any artiste because I am also being trained by my record label Lynx Entertainment so how can I train another person?
That is not possible. I have a long road ahead of me and there are lots of things I still need to learn in the music industry”.
His reasons are on the back of calls from his fans to sign one young boy who sings just like him.
It’s simple, Kuami Eugene cannot add the burden of managing this young boy to his flourishing music career.
