The last time Ghanaians heard of Steve Harvey was when he hilariously gave the title of ‘Miss Universe’ to the wrong lady.

Now, he’s in Ghana as part of initiatives marking the ‘year of return’.

The Year of Return is an initiative meant to get Africans in the diaspora back home. It’s meant to boost tourism and build connections with these long lost Africans.

Harvey is the latest celebrity to arrive for the ‘Year of Return’. He came with his family and they were welcomed at the W.E.B DuBois Centre in Cantonments by members of the ‘Year of Return’ Committee.

Harvey and his family are expected to visit numerous tourist sites including the numerous castles were the slave trade was conducted.
