Sadat Mohammed Aka Alhaji Declared Wanted By Police In Connection With Asamponhene’s Death

Police in the Ashanti Region has declared one man wanted in connection with the death of the late Asamponhene of the Kingdom.

Sadat Mohammed, also known as Alhaji, has been identified by police as a suspect but has since gone on the run.

The police have thus secured a bench warrant for his arrest and declared him a wanted man.

Sadat is said to have been a friend of the late Asamponhene before his demise. The two were spotted together’s at Alhaji’s residence at Kwadaso on Sunday before the chief was killed.

Alhaji reportedly owed the late chief money, and had invited him to meet at Suame to settle the loan before his death. The police have already revealed they suspect he was assassinated.

Oheneba Kwadwo Afodour, as we reported, was stabbed multiple times by unknown assailants on Sunday. Police have so far arrested two suspects plus declared Sadat wanted in connection to the crime.
