Junior Agogo and his family have been flooded with condolences since the footballer died yesterday, after battling stroke for a few years.
Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew, Michael Essien and others have all expressed immense sadness over his death.
However, as with everything in Ghana, controversy is just lurking around the corner – even the sending of condolences has brought an issue.
Some people are expressing unhappiness about how Agogo was abandoned when he was sick and is now receiving all the accolades once he died.
Sonnie Badu has raised the same issue and now Addi Self, one of Wale’s Militants, is making a similar point.
He slammed former colleagues of the player who are now sending him condolences.
“When junior agogo was sick i never saw any of the football players (Ghana) posting him or even wishing him a speedy recovery now that he’s dead see how they all posting him… some humans are very wicked they will only recognize you when you Dead.” Addi Self posted on social media.
