The legendary chief drummer of the Black Stars team, Joseph Langabell, has revealed that Junior Agogo was one of the most jovial members of the Stars during his time with the team.
He also shockingly revealed that Agogo is related to former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Langabell was on the Joy Fm today and was asked to give his view on Agogo from his experiences of him during his short Black Stars stint.
Agogo played for the Stars for a relatively short period between 2006 and 2009 – but he became one of the most famous players in the team after CAN 2008 due to his performances and incredible winning goal against Nigeria.
Langabell, who has been with the team forever, revealed that even though Agogo was a relatively new player, he was so jovial he became free with everyone and you would think he had known the other players forever.
He named Stephen Appiah and Asamoah Gyan as some of his closest pals in the team.
Langabell also revealed Agogo was related to former President Rawlings, claiming the former military leader was an uncle of the deceased Stars forward.
GhanaCelebrities.Com‘s research shows Rawlings and Agogo’s mum are cousins.
