Radio Presenter Kofi Okyere Darko aka KOD has heaped praises on gospel musician Joe Mettle, speaking about his upcoming show ‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ which comes off this Saturday, August 31st.
According to him, Joe Mettle freely gave him some money to support the project when he hadn’t asked him.
He noted Joe Mettle called him to talk about the project and just after they ended the call, he received a message that the musician had donated to help fund the project.
KOD who obviously wasn’t expecting such gesture noted he was amazed and very impressed.
“I just fell flat on the floor, after seeing the message as I’ve never seen something of that sort before. God bless him,” he said
Also, he chronicled how difficult it was to get sponsorship for his show.
According to KOD, he funded 80% of his project by himself, because nobody was ready to sponsor him.
“Getting sponsorship here in Ghana is no longer a joke. I am funding 80 per cent of Rhythms On Da Runway. I have not had one sponsor who is giving me 15,000 Ghana Cedis”, he said on Hitz FM.
‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ is a fashion show which of annually. 2019 edition is slated for the Saturday.
