Legendary Ghanaian reggae musician born Née Abubakar Ahmed professionally known as Blakk Rasta has finally launched his much-anticipateed “Timbuktu By Road” album.
The 32-track album is the 9th studio album for the reggae star. It was launched yesterday, 2nd September 2019 at “Alisa Hotel” in Accra.

In an interview with one of Ghana’s finest bloggers GHhyper, Blakk Rasta revealed what inspired him to bring out the album and why he called the album, “Timbuktu By Road”.
“As a historian, I love it when I have to do something for Africa, as a Pan-Africanist, this is my turn, it is “Timbuktu By Road”, he said.

He continued that. “Timbuktu is the city of learning and if we are going there by road then it means we are taking our time to go there gradually to make it happen. We have 32 tracks on the album, 2 CD’s in 1″ the dance and the Kuchoko which is the blend of Reggae and traditional African music.” he told GHhyper.
