It’s never too late to fulfil a dream in life. A 51-year-old trader in the Volta region has enrolled in Senior High School to finally get her certificate.
Comfort Nutsugah has enrolled at the Keta Senior High School in Keta.
The mother of 6 sells ‘obroni wawu’ and completed her basic education last year whilst sitting in the same class as her fifth child.
She told the Ghana News Agency that the free SHS policy is why she continued her education because it allows her to fulfil a dream whilst not spending too much as she has a large family to cater for.
“I remember I sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) with my fifth born and had it not been for the Free SHS, I wouldn’t have continued my education to this level,” she said.
Madam Nutsugah is currently in her first year, reading the General Arts course.
