Just a few weeks after a chief was brutally murdered in his car whilst travelling, another chief has also been murdered in a similar fashion.
First to go was the Asamponhene of the Ashanti Kingdom, who was murdered by some unknown assailants, and now the Gyaasehene (Kingmaker) of Gomoa Ankranmang has also suffered a similar fate.
Nana Egyiri, aka Osibo, was brutally murdered and then his body was dumped in the community.
According to myjoyonline, his body was found lying in a pool of blood, with both his home and his car vandalized by the criminals.
Serial lawlessness seems to be enveloping the nation at this point – as Nana Egyiri’s death also comes two weeks after two police officers were shot dead by criminals, also in Gomoa.
If police officers and chiefs aren’t safe, how safe should the citizens be feeling, really?
