A 21-year-old lady known as Mercy Sam has been arrested by Police in Dansoman after trying to reenact the plot of the classic Ghanaian movie ‘Baby Thief’.

Sam stole a two-week-old baby after convincing the mum she would hold onto the baby for her whilst she takes a bath.

However, whilst the mum was bathing, she took a taxi and fled with the baby.

The case was reported to the police and the ‘baby thief’ was subsequently found and arrested. The 20-year-old mother safely retrieved her baby.
