Veteran actor and broadcaster Mikky Osei Berko as far as one can see and hear says he is not going to sit idle and do nothing as foreign content dominate our primetime tv and radio.
Foreign content especially the influx of these foreign telenovelas has since taken over and amazingly, people love all that is being fed to them. Mikky says that in a way is gradually wiping away the Ghanaian culture and leaving filmmakers out of business as well.
According to him, the onus is on the government to implement policies that would stop that so what is left of the never reviving industry is saved and if that is not done, he would march bare to the jubilee house to prove his point.
“It is the responsibility of the government to put structures in place for the arts industry.
“If by December, nothing is done about these foreign contents on television screens, I’ll personally march NAKED to the Jubilee House. Television stations show these foreign contents during prime time.” Mikki Osei Berko
