Ghanaian dancehall artiste Derrick Obobbie, known as J. Derobie, has said that if not for sports betting in Ghana, many of our youths would have been criminals.

Speaking on the Class Drive (CD) on Class91.3FM with Prince Benjamin (Chauffeur PB), he said sport betting has been beneficial as it has prevented young people from going into stealing and robbery.
“Betting is good, betting is good. It has helped most of the youth, it has pushed some of them from stealing and all that. You know, if it weren’t for betting, some [young] people would be on the streets stealing and robbing,”he said.
“So, the betting is good; that’s what I think,” he stressed.
J. Derobie is the face of one of the sports betting companies in Ghana. He’s now out with a new song titled “Odo Bra”.
