Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah popularly known as Shatta Wale has disclosed that he has quit smoking ‘weed’ or drinking alcoholic drinks.

According to him, people are of the views that most musicians use drugs to help them in their performance on stage, so to prove them wrong, he decided to stop smoking and drinking alcoholic drink.

“I stopped smoking weed because people thought weed was influencing me and i wanted to prove to them that my inspiration is God and my love for dancehall,” he told Paul Adom Otchere on Good Evening Ghana.

He however admitted that he still occasionally smokes cigarette.
