The fetish priest who allegedly assaulted a contestant of the Miss Commonwealth Beauty Pageant has spoken out and given his side of the story.
According to him, the girl was not assaulted as she alleged but that she must have staged her bruises just to get public sympathy.
As we reported earlier, a former contestant of ‘Miss Commonwealth Ghana’ beauty pageant was physically assaulted by a juju man for allegedly stealing Ghc500.
According to the contestant, Nana Ama Essien, they were taken to the juju man by the CEO of Miss Commonwealth Ghana beauty pageant after a contestant’s Ghc500 got missing from the house during their stay.
The juju man fished her out as the thief and instructed her to go naked where she was beaten with a cutlass.
Following her story going public, the CEO of the pageant and the fetish priest were both picked up by Police.
Speaking with Adom Fm after being granted bail, the fetish priest said the lady herself confessed to the crime after some spiritual incantations.
“She begged the organisers for the embarrassment but we did not beat her,” Togbe Shito said.

When asked about the bruises on her body, he said she probably faked it to gain public sympathy.
