Nigerian musician and Afrobeats artist Burna Boy claim he has never met the leader of the Bee Hives Beyonce or even had a telephone conversation with her.

The artist who is currently dating British rapper Stefflon Don in an interview with controversial radio host Charlamagne Tha God stated that he never received a call from Beyonce when asked about his feature on her current album the Lion King: the Gift. The presenter asked if he had any personal contact such as an email with the pop star to which Burna Boy responded in the negative.

This statement by Burna Boy seemed to have incensed the hosts of the Wahaala Boys Podcast who took to their podcast to dissect his statement and the whole interview.

According to them, the musician comments show the level of respect he himself in the music scene especially when dealing with foreign artists. They claimed his comments made a mockery of the title to his current album African Giant. The entire podcast made Burna Boy come across like the National Democractic Party (NDC) during the 2016 general elections in Ghana when the party was losing power but kept saying they were winning.

Burna Boy is an artist who has previously moaned about the lack of respect afforded to artists who originate from the African continent but seemed to have accepted what would be regarded by most people as the biggest disrespect by Beyonce. Burna Boy erupted like the Icelandic volcano after his name appeared smaller on the Coachella poster for 2019. He took to Instagram to vent his displeasure of being treated like an African midget since he considered himself an African Giant. Therefore, it is a shock to find out that the African Giant will allow himself to be treated like an up and coming artist by Beyonce.

Burna Boy was so ecstatic about the feature that he took to his social media page to share his delight with his fans. Considering that Beyonce didn’t even afford him a cuortesy call, you wonder if Burna Boy is all mouth and no action about the disrespect African artists receive from the rest of the world.
