This is what happens when a country has no visionary leaders. Since Dr Nkrumah, Ghana has had a series of short-sighted leaders only interested in their own pockets without thinking even two years into the future.
Can you imagine the amount of negligence needed for the only motorway in Ghana to flood after a few hours of simply moderate rain?

This doesn’t happen overnight – it took us years, maybe even decades, to get here.
The Accra-Tema motorway has flooded today after some rain through the afternoon.
The floods have made the road near impassable, making it choked with cars.
Once again, if you needed another reminder this country is a sh*thole, you just got it.
