Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has revealed he would like go into politics one day.
Speaking on Hits FM’s Daybreak Hitz, he said musicians are already serving through their songs so it wouldn’t be any huge task if they join politics to serve the same people they were already serving with music.
According to him, his career as a musician puts him on the spot because he is “serving the people directly or indirectly through songs.”
“We are messengers for the people already. We have to serve the people,” he said.
Citing examples such as Nigerian actor Banky W, Uganda musician Bobby Wine who later became politicians and Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo, he said he generate inspiration from them, and it won’t be a surprise if he venture into politics.
He also advised musicians to aspire to form part of the decision making process since it will help to implement decisions to aid artistes in Ghana’s music sphere.
