Omotola Angrily Blasts Nollywood – Says She Won’t Allow Herself To Be Used And Dumped

Nollywood actress Omotola has explained why she doesn’t act lately.

According to her, she’s been rejecting movie roles because Nollywood is not structured well, it’s disorganized.

In an interview with Rubbin Minds on Channels Television, Omotola Jalade fumed about the poor structural system in the Nollywood industry.

She has expressed concerns about producers not paying royalties to actors. According to her, she has been insisting that producers issue her a contract to pay her royalties even after a movie.



“It is really hitting me, how disorganised my industry is and how much we have not done structurally.

“So I have decided to fall back. I am not doing movies for now because most times when I talk to producers, I tell them since I acted ‘Ije’ every movie I have acted had royalties in my contract. So if you are not going to put royalties in my contract, I am not going to do your movie. You don’t just pay me off and go.

“If I die tomorrow, let my children too have something to hold on to,” she fumed.
