Kumawood actor Edward Owusu also known as Kobby 1 happens to be the new Ghana Jesus in the trending series, ‘Boys Abre’.
He joined the series recently after the misunderstanding between the former Ghana Jesus Mmebusem and the producer of the series Salinko which lead to them parting ways.

The new Ghana Jesus sometime ago was seen in a video criticizing Mmebesem that what he’s doing isn’t good but rather looks like he’s mocking Jesus Christ. But today, he has taken the place of Mmebusem.
Speaking to Zion Felix in an interview, he said;
‘I was part of those who criticized Mmebusem. I did a live video criticizing him when I didn’t know it was a series but I did that based on the short videos that went viral on YouTube. I even advised him to use the platform he has gotten wisely instead of mocking God with it.’

Talking about how he joined, he said after their misunderstanding went viral, he did another video condemning Mmebusem for trying to kill Salinko’s work and in the video he told Salinko if he needs someone to help him with bible verses he can do that for him. Salinko later connected with him and they took it from there.
