Nigerians are not joking on Twitter–and several ordinary citizens have tweeted at Twitter’s CEO-Jack Dorsey to come and stay in Nigeria since he announced that he plans to move to Africa in 2020 for 3-6 months.
He tweeted at the end of his recent trip to Africa, “Sad to be leaving the continent for now. Africa will define the future (especially the bitcoin one!). Not sure where yet, but I’ll be living here for 3-6 months mid-2020.”
Following his tweet, several Nigerians have asked that he comes to stay in Nigeria when he is finally back to Africa–with one Nigerian Twitter user even offering to find him a luxury apartment to stay. And he was not joking, he event tweeted at him a photo of one of such posh apartments to entice him.
Do not be shocked if indeed Jack Dorsey ends up spending a lot of time in Nigeria—because they are already lobbying and enticing him.
