Ghanaian highlife musician KiDi has noted that he doesn’t see any of his colleague artistes winning Grammy, at least not soon.

This means Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, Obrafour and other big artistes in Ghana are all wack for Grammy at the moment.

KiDi’s comment is in relations to controversies that arose on the back of Shatta Wale being ‘nominated’ for Grammy because he featured on Beyonce’s Lion King Album.

Reacting to that KiDi said;

“We’re not close. We’re not. I mean that’s the truth. We’ll like to be close but we have a lot of work to do.

“One of our challenges is getting a presence internationally. Getting to make a statement out there. We need to start to fix some internal issues and when we go out there we need to make a presence.

“It’s a step by step thing. So, we will get there but I don’t think as at now we’re close. We have work to do” he added.
