Ghanaian songstress Mzbel has quizzed how the girl child can be empowered after being abused.
According to her, society finds a way to quietly handle the matter in order to protect someone’s reputation.

She posted on her Instagram page asking how the women empowerment thing could work if justice isn’t served when they are abused.
Well, her statement is very clear but what isn’t known is whether its based on personal experience of that of another person.

She posted a very nice photo of herself with the caption; ‘We live in a society where often times, when a woman/girl is abused or taken advantage of by a man, excuses are made to blame the woman/girl or we quietly find a way to shush the woman/girl in the name of protecting some filthy reputation… And the sad part is we are the same people going around to preach about empowering Women and the Girl Child.
