Special Prosecutor, Mr. Martin Amidu announced earlier this week his petition to the government of Ghana to review Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) and the Special Prosecutor Act, 2017 (Act 959) so his office can investigate individuals with ‘unexplained wealth’.
The agenda, according to him, will reduce corruption in the country and forms part of his 2020 Anti-Corruption Program.
While others have accepted this news with a smile, Social media Millionaire Ibrah One has expressed his disgust in the government initiative.
Ibrah, who is fond of posting his lavish lifestyle on the gram and has been tagged as a ‘fraud boy’ took to his Insta Story to voice out his piece of mind.
He wrote, “They couldn’t arrest thieves in their own house but here they are planning to arrest thieves outside their house”. “It’s time for one person to offend Iran so that Iran can strike Ghana back for the government to get busy on serious issue that really matter”.
He went further to say that most of the people who post flashy cars and lavish lifestyles(Which he is included) on social Media are fake and the government shouldn’t be deceived by it.
