The former boss of defunct UT Bank, Kofi Amoabeng was arrested yesterday by the Ghana Police service over the collapsed of his bank.
After years of back and forth following the shut down of the bank, the former boss has now been arraigned before court, charged with stealing customers money and money laundering.

On the back of his arrest, some Ghanaian celebrities have been blamed for allegedly chopping Kofi Amoabeng’s money, leading to the collapse of his bank.
Apparently, Nana Aba Anamoah and Mzbel are two personalities cited for dating Kofi Amoabeng.
Social media users have alleged that as far as these two high profile personalities were once involved in the life of the banker, they might have chopped his money, resulting in his misfortune!
