Nigerian celebrity designer, Toyin Lawani has accused American singer John Legend’s designer of stealing her design.
According to her, the singer’s fashion designer has mirrored a design she created for some Nigerian celebrities 2 years ago.
The comes after the Grammy Awards where John Legend stunned in a halfway long unique blazer made by Alexander Mcqueen.
Taken to social media, Toyin Lawani has called out Alexander Mcqueen. According to her, she deserves the credit for being the originator of the style.
She wrote,
‘I lead they follow , Whoever did John Legend’s own, tell them they forgot to put belt well I didn’t put belt on @iamteddya’s own, I need Nigerians to start realizing we are more appreciated than we think, we are extremely talentented. Atleast 5 of my creations have been remade abroad after years I’ve done it, well same in Nigeria.
