The United States Embassy in the Federal Republic of Nigeria has reacted swiftly to viral news reports that Bishop David Oyedepo has been denied a visa renewal.

In a tweet reacting to the story, the embassy denied anything of that sort happened, calling the story fake.

As we reported earlier, numerous Nigerian blogs reported earlier today that Oyedepo attempted to get his visa renewed at the U.S Embassy in Lagos Thursday.

However, drama ensued at the embassy after he was allegedly refused the visa and he caused a huge scene.

It hasn’t taken long for the embassy to react and kill the story.
