Almost always, in every given setting—ladies who have given birth out of wedlock, what we have come to brand Babymamas are treated to little to or no respect at all.
They are chastised and looked down on because they decided to have a baby instead of aborting it just to look all saints and new pins.
According to ex-BBNaija’s housemate Alex Unusual, baby mamas should be given the ultimate respect for daring to have a baby in the first place because sometimes, they did not wish for any of that to happen to them.

When asked if she would love to be a baby mama, Alex said she would, in fact, love to marry and have babies instead.
“I hope to get married and have kids. However, I don’t judge baby mamas because many of them didn’t plan for things to be that way. Most of the kids were born out of love. They were, most likely, in love with whichever guy got them pregnant but maybe, things didn’t later work out. I feel we are supposed to give them the respect that they deserve because they have children.”
