The past few weeks can be described as the most downing moment of Ghana’s educational system as it has seen all sort of vices widely displayed in our high schools.
On two different occasions, there have been s*xually explicit videos of girls of Ejisuman Senior High School publicly employing others to indulge in s*x.
Top of that, another student of Swedru Senior High is seen smoking through her nostrils like she has no aim.
On the back of the government’s support for all young people to gain access to education, especially the girl child through its ‘Free Education’ initiative, some students have chosen to go wayward, rubbishing the true cause of being given such an opportunity.

‘We are in mess’ is an understatement. The GES and all the other authorities must step up to instil discipline and a sense of purpose in our students.
