Musicians transitioning into acting is a common thing in Hollywood, but it is starting to appear in Nollywood. Banky W and Rudeboy have all starred in big budget movies in Nigeria although Rudeboy’s had a small role in the movie he featured in.
Actors and Actresses putting out music in Ghana is nothing new with the likes of Juliet Ibrahim, Lil Win and recently Emelia Brobbey releasing songs, but it is uncommon to find a musician trying to get into the movie industry.

Kakyire Kwame Appiah tried acting and even produced his own movies but the least said about it the better.
Looking at the top musicians in Ghana now, one wonders who can jump into the movie scene and become and instant hit like Banky W was in Nollywood.
Shatta Wale is most likely to succeed in both Twi and English movie in Ghana. Shatta is versatile enough to play a thug in the English movie while in the local one, he can have an insult match with Lil Win or Akrobeto.
Sarkodie looks like he can steal the roles of Van Vicker. Sark can play the sweet professional guy who meets the poor water seller and is ready to change her life because he is love with her. Sark is less likely to succeed in the Twi movie unless he is playing a wise king.

Stonebwoy is the artist that one might struggle to place him in any of the movie scene. Well any movie need extras therefore Stonebwoy might make a great extra in a movie.
