Nigerian author and relationship adviser Reno Omokri has aired his views on the factors that leads to early divorce.
According to him, having a wedding that exceeds one’s budget is a major factor that leads to divorce.
In a recent Instagram post, he said some people have a wedding which exceed their budgets and then get divorced months later because of money.
He however advised men not to fall for pressure from their girlfriends and their family members to have a lavish wedding to regret their decisions later.

He also gave out some options to give their girlfriends and their family in case they find themselves in such situations.
He wrote “If your wedding is costing more than your net worth, the likelihood of your future divorce increases by more than 100%. Money issues are the number one reason for divorce. Google it. Save your marriage by having a wedding you can afford. Do not borrow to pay for your wedding. If your fiancé and her family insists on a wedding you can’t afford, give them 3 options. They either pay for it, or cut their expectations to meet your pocket, or keep their daughter, while you keep your sanity!”
